Meet Suman Golla
Dr. Suman Golla is a former Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is also former Director of the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists’ office at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) St. Margaret Hospital.
After graduating from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Golla received her medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She then went on to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Golla has been published in numerous medical journals, including Pediatric Emergency Care, The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal and Journal of Clinical Microbiology. She was a reviewer for Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Laryngoscope as well as being a frequent lecturer.
A member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, among others, Dr. Golla is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Her interests include general otolaryngology, head and neck cancer, snoring and sleep apnea problems, sinus and allergy and general pediatric problems.
Dr. Golla was voted as one of the area’s top doctors by Pittsburgh Magazine two years in a row!
